So you want to be a call center speaker? If you work in the call center industry then it is almost guaranteed you have spent time sitting in a seminar or have heard of your management team going to attend one. You may have realized that you have something worth saying and have decided to share this with other companies in the same industry field that you work in. So you have decided to become a call center speaker. What does this entail you might want to know? Well for one, you will have to travel a lot. Seminars are held all over the world. That is one thing you will have to keep in mind. Seminars can be as quick as one day and some up to a week. If you have a family you may want to consider what their feelings on you being away from home this much means to them. Another thing to consider is if you are going to be a freelance call center speaker of if you want to join a company that is already established. Being a freelance speaker has its benefits of course, the money is yours to keep, and you do not have to give anyone a cut. However, the downside to this is, you have to do all the work yourself. You will have to make your own travel arrangements, pay for your own advertising, book your location and a lot more. Personally I would feel it would be better to start off at least, with an established call center speaker organization. They have contacts already made from past seminars and they will handle all the arrangements for you. Your basic job is to show up and speak to those attending the seminar. Perhaps you wish to be an in house call center speaker. Instead of the clients coming to you, you travel to the businesses and hold your meetings there. This is also a very good arrangement of course. You may end up giving the same talk several times in a short period of time, rather than just once to a small group of management. Whatever the case may be, being a call center speaker can be a very rewarding job. If you have the patience and the knowledge and love to talk, this is the job for you. |
